gOD. LET ME JUST SAY. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL GAME. I've always wanted an otome game about sweet sweet revolution. Just watching Lonnie talk about how "all we have is each other" and being so kind to everyone has me fawning all over him. I like this game doesn't shy away from politics. One of my fave otome games I've played. Can't wait for the full game! <3
Hi, I just wanted to say that you should perhaps update your Twitter. The last tweet is from 2023 and coupled with no itch.io updates since the release of the demo in 2022 it makes it seem as if the game has been abandoned 😅 I was actually just about to delete it from my collection, but thankfully decided to take one last look at this comment section 😂
Oops... Sorry, you're right. Very good idea. It's just hard to know what to say in an update that won't spoil the game? >< I mean, we figured posting "wrote 5k more words!" over and over might be a bit boring and redundant... We actually finally decided to adopt a chapter structure like everyone else lol and we were thinking about releasing the routes chapter by chapter so there will be stuff for y'all to do besides wait indefinitely?
Well, that's true 😂 But honestly, even reading “The game is still being worked on!” from the devs is a huge relief for people interested in it. Silence is like, our worst nightmare since so many indie games get dropped out of nowhere because the devs went mia 😅 I would say writing SOMETHING every 3 months would make people feel reassured that the game is still being worked on (at least it would make me reassured). And we can wait a really long time once we know that a game's not abandoned 😂 But if you want to have updates that are a little more interesting, you could write things like: “Started writing chapter 5 of character A's route”, “The first half of chapter 5 of character A's route is done”, “The second half of chapter 5 of character A's route is close to being done”. Or something else if you don't really have routes. If you're still working on things besides writing you could mention them as well without having to actually show them. But seriously, even the most boring and repetitive updates are better than no updates at all 😅
As far as releasing the game in chapters is concerned in my opinion it depends on what you find most comfortable as creators, but some people might be very interested in the idea 😊 You could also choose to release the game by routes if they're not connected (aside from the common route of course).
Thanks soooo much for your advice! You're right, I guess I was (and possibly my sister, the writer) thinking it's not very encouraging to see posts like "we're still working on the game" so it's better to say nothing instead of that. Okay, thank you!
Thank you again for your advice! We got our Twitter started again. Dividing the game into chapters not only made it easier to report on progress but also gives us a better sense of our progression.
Oho! It was a pleasant experience. The demo is 52k words which is longer than others. I like the art style and bgm too. Haven't seen bugs or such and I love the plot. I absolutely love the characters. Chess really hooked me up *cough* but Lionne is cuuuute tooo wahhh. I also like Allison. She's so likable! Im looking forward for the full version <3
Thank you! I'm glad you like the characters and story as well as Moccin's art and my BGM! I was actually worried I shouldn't have done the BGM myself, so that's very reassuring.
Just finished the demo and I'm very much looking forward to the full game! There's so much care and attention-to-detail put into the worldbuilding in the story so far that I'm really looking forward to how the plot and the romances play out!
I love Allison, she's not the most skilled or the most knowledgeable but she's willing to push past her fears to step out of her comfort zone and make the best of a crappy situation. I love her design as well and the visible sprite + her expressions! Really added to the experience of watching the story play out.
Between Chess and Lonnie, Chess was definitely more my type at first glance but I do appreciate that through the common route, Allison spends time getting to know and befriend both of them. The friendships feel natural and organic. I have to say when I saw KOTA thooooooo hahaha.... Kota romance when? ;)
The music was great, as was the UI (really love that ticking clock detail on the main menu!) and the logo, the game overall has a high degree of polish that is extremely impressive (along with the length + story polish) for a jam entry!
edit: oh, I had to edit to add the one line that made me laugh so hard for some reason--Allison picking up the sand on the beach and letting it fall, then Chess saying "Ah, it got in my eye" LOOOL i laughed for like 3 minutes straight.
Thank you! Your jam entry was really great too! Lol, our artist has also been begging us for a Kota route since before he even had an actual design. So we will see (after everything else is done though, of course)!
We actually started the game waaaaaaaay before the jam period. We just got the logo, the non-LI character sprites, and the CGs done during that time, in addition to some final rewrites. Since one of the rules said it was fine to submit a game that was already in progress. So I just wanted to let you know so you guys don't feel like other people were able to do way more than you in the same time or something.
To make a long story short, I was absolutely blown away by this game! I’ve been playing otome since I was a teenager, and now I’m a woman in my 20s. I enjoyed a lot, for one, that the MC is an adult. An actual adult woman! And she has a great personality, she’s likeable and I LOVE how funny and sassy she can be. The controls are smooth, I didn’t notice any glitches or bugs. You can honestly tell that this game is a labor of love! Tbh I would play full, commercial otome price for a full version of this game.
The writing draws you in, I could feel the emotions the MC felt. More than once I was laughing out loud, and more than once did I get chills from an awesome line. I'm a hobbyist/fanfic writer, and I can honestly say I would read Royal Flush's authors' work any time, anywhere!
The art is gorgeous! I love how each drawn character has so much personality to them. Everything is really stitched together with care and smoothed to perfection. I would also be remiss if I didn’t mention how much I adore Chess. As soon as I saw him, I knew I’d like him, but then his personality really won me over! I love a grumpy guy with a heart of gold. I can’t decide if he’d be more fun to tease or be teased by c;
I can’t wait for more! You guys have done a great job! I devoured the whole demo in about 2hrs, past my ‘bedtime’ cause I open in the morning, because I was so enthralled. 10/10, let me know if y’all start a Patreon. I have nothing but praise for this project
Thank you sooo much for your comment! It's really encouraging! 😭 And it really is a labor of love. We've been considering doing a Patreon but haven't decided one way or another, so thanks for the show of support!
Thank you sooo much! 😭 Honestly, it means a lot to both me and my sister because your feedback is the first we've got since the demo release! You may want to copy your review and paste it here in the comments, though--even though it's called a "review", only we the devs can see it so it should really be called "developer feedback"... 😅 You seriously made our day though 🥺
Sorry, there are no plans for an Android release (we'd have to redesign a lot of things to do that) but we hope you will support the PC release if you can!

interesting and fun premise! excited to see where it leads!
I really enjoyed this demo. Can't wait for the full game❤️
Also as a POC is was nice to have a protagonist that looked like me!
Just finished reading it, I can't wait to see what else is going to happen. And I wish to know what happened to Emily!!
Thanks for reading our game and for your comment! It always makes us really happy to see comments like this.
Is this game abandoned?
Nope, we are still working on it. It's just hard to post updates when all we have to say is "I wrote some more!"
I see, good luck with the project then, looking forward to it
So glad to hear y’all are still working on it. Very excited for the full game!
Thank you! We are too and your comment was really motivating for us! 😊
<3
Absolutely loved this demo! The characters are very loveable and I'm excited to see where the story goes. Can't wait to play the full version!
Thank you so much for your support! (And sorry for the late reply!)
